YOUTH
COMMITTEE
A Youth Committee is in formation. Contact Youth Director Michelle
Berkowitz
for information.
A Youth Task Force, under the leadership of Marcia Gettinger and former
Rabbi Sheila Goloboy, met in 2005 to explore and expand the idea of CBI
as a "Youth-Friendly
Congregation." Working
with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) model of the "Comprehensive Youth Program" we
endeavor to create more opportunity for youth to feel a part of the CBI community.
Successes included increasing Youth
Program staffing, the establishment of a newly
moved and enhanced Jackie
Novak Youth Lounge, and exciting and expanded NOAR and BITY programming.
