College Connection needs your help
It is never too early to let us know where our CBI High School graduates
will be in the fall, or where our college students are currently. Our
database holds too few names, and we need parents' help to keep it
up to date.
In addition, please encourage college students to log on to the Reform Movement’s College Website.
We also need volunteers to help us track down and keep up with our ever-relocating
college students. If you would like to assist, please contact the clergy offices.
For more information on our Teen Youth Programs, feel free to contact Michelle Berkowitz, Youth Director, or call 858-535-1111, ext 3100.

Free Israel Trips
Offered to Post High School Students
birthright israel offers free ten-day trips to Israel for young Jewish adults, ages 18-26, who have never been on an educational trip to Israel. That's right, the family trip doesn't count. If this describes you, or someone close to you, consider participating in the Reform Movement's birthright israel experience. Registration began September 8, and space is limited. For more information, check out the KESHER Israel Connection website or the download the flyer. For those who have never been to Israel, or who have not been on a peer/educational program, this trip is often a life-changing experience.
The trip takes participants from spiritual
Jerusalem to Tel Aviv nightlife, Eilat to the Dead Sea, and offers the excitement
of Israel from a progressive Reform perspective. Participants will trek across beautiful deserts, snorkel in the Red Sea, ride
a camel, ascend to the top of Masada at sunrise, visit mystical Tzfat, and explore
the Golan and Galilee. Each day is filled with opportunities for exploration
and spiritual growth, relaxation and fun. Interactions with Israeli peers, archaeology,
daily egalitarian worship and song, and coffee house evenings will provide opportunities
for each person to wrestle with timeless and contemporary questions of meaning,
Judaism, pluralism, and tradition.
birthright israel is a unique partnership between the people of Israel through their government, local Jewish communities and Federations (United Jewish Communities, Keren Hayesod and The Jewish Agency for Israel), and leading Jewish philanthropists.
