Sundays, 9:10 a.m. when Religious School is in session
“As I awaken, let this be my thought: May my day be filled with acts of lovingkindness. Let me be drawn to learning and discernment, and may my actions be shaped by mitzvot.”
Please join us for a brief service that fulfils the important mitzvah of helping mourners and those observing Yartzeit to recite the Mourner’s Kaddish. The Minyan provides comfort, healing and a connection to the Jewish community. Beth Israel is dedicated to supporting members of our community who have experienced a recent loss and those honouring the memory of loved ones. Our intimate Sunday Minyan service provides the opportunity to share stories about your loved ones, an important part of perpetuating their memories. One does not need to be in mourning or observing Yartzeit to participate. Attending Minyan enables the fulfilment of an important Mitvah and provides a meaningful start to the day. It only takes 15 minutes!
For parents of Religious School students, the timing of our Sunday Minyan will enable you to drop off your children, participate in the short Minyan service and schmooze afterwards in Cafe Beth Israel or work out at the JCC. Attending Minyan will also help to improve your fluency in the prayers your children learn in Tefilah each week at religious school. We anticipate you will enjoy sharing our ancient tradition with a modern Beth Israel approach.
