Torah Study at Beth Israel
Rabbi Michael Berk leads Torah Study every Shabbat morning
at 8:30 a.m. in the Feuerstein Family Activity Center. Congregants of all ages
and interests discuss the weekly Torah portion,
bringing their own ideas as well as those of various Torah commentators
to the table. All are welcome and no advance knowledge or preparation is needed
to participate. Torah texts, coffee and nosh
are provided.
After Torah Study, worshipers may choose between
two Shabbat morning worship experiences, both
of which start at 10 a.m.:
- A Shabbat morning service, led by our Rabbis
and Cantor, includes the celebration of a Bar or Bat
Mitzvah. This service is held in the Glickman-Galinson Sanctuary.
- A lay-led Minyan service is held in
the Foster Family Chapel. The Minyan service
features prayer, singing and Torah discussion
in an informal setting.
All are welcome to participate in either Shabbat morning
worship experiences.
