Music Is Integral to Worship at Beth Israel
Our sanctuary, chapel, courtyard and school rooms are filled with the sounds of Jewish music - from ancient to modern; Eastern European to the music of Yemen. Join us in music and song and help keep alive a wondrous tradition.
Our Erev Shabbat, festival services and other events are often enhanced by the sound of our Shabbat & Festival Choir, Youth and Teen Choir and Chai Band. Beth Israel's music program is led by

The Chai Band plays at the Erev Shabbat service on the final Friday of each month between September and May and at special services and events. Musicians who play woodwinds, brass, guitar, strings or keyboard are invited to contact Rabbi/Cantor Bernstein for information about the band.
