We look forward to you and your family joining us for the High Holy Days. Because we want to insure seating for all who wish to attend, many of our High Holy Day services are held
downtown at the Civic Theatre and in the Copper Room of Golden Hall (adjacent
to the Civic Theatre). Only services held in these off-site locations will require tickets, which are free for CBI members and available to purchase for nonmembers.
This is the only time during the year when we use tickets for attendance
at worship services.
We know that many Jews in San Diego are not affiliated with a synagogue, but
would like an opportunity to worship at the High Holy Days. For information and tickets, please contact
, Executive Director,
or
, at 858-535-1111 ext. 3126. Note: Students and active duty military personnel will be given tickets at no charge, at the Civic Theatre, upon presentation of a valid student, or military identification card. No reservations are required.
Are You Alone for the Holy Days? New to Our Congregation?
Many of our members have families too far away or no family at all to be with during the High Holy Day Services. Are you new to our CBI family and wish to meet other members with whom to share High Holy Day Services? Or, are you a member wishing to invite a new member to share the High Holy Days with you and your family? Please contact Susan
Hutchison at 858-535-1111, ext.
3116, or Bonnie Graff at 858-535-1111, ext. 3128.
Reciprocal Agreements for High Holy Days Worship
Will you be out of town during the High Holy Days and plan to attend worship
services at a Reform synagogue elsewhere? We may be able to assist you through a reciprocal agreement we have
with Union for Reform Judaism synagogues throughout North America. Likewise, if you belong to a Reform synagogue in another town and wish to worship with us in San Diego,
please call us
at 858 535-1111, ext. 3126.
Tickets for CBI Members
CBI adult members in good standing receive High Holy Days admission tickets as a privilege of membership. "In good standing" means:
1. Your membership dues, building maintenance fund and school fees due through June 30, 2008 are paid in full or mutually agreed upon arrangements have been made to bring your account current, and;
2. Your membership dues for the fiscal year that began on July 1, 2008, have been paid in full, or we have received a Dues Payment Option Form from you and your account is current according to the payment plan you selected.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties and cannot meet the requirements above, please call Member Services at 858-535-1111, ext. 3113.
Tickets for Children
Children under 18 do not need tickets for the adult services
if they walk in with their parents. Member's children who are age 18 or older
will need tickets. If they live with, or are supported by their parents,
these tickets will be made available free of charge, but they must be ordered
in advance, using the Member Complimentary and Extra Ticket Form that is part of the information
packet sent recently to member households.
Please see Family Service ticket information.
Tickets for Relatives and Friends
You may order tickets for relatives and friends by sending in the Extra Ticket
Order Form found in the High Holy Days information packet sent out to
member households.
Tickets for Students and Military
Students and active duty military personnel will be given tickets at no charge, at the Civic Theatre, upon presentation of a valid student or military identification card.
