MEMORIAL
WALL
 |
|
| Beth Israel's memorial wall. |
In Jewish tradition we remember our loved ones by kindling a flame on
their Yahrzeit, the anniversary of their
death. Memorializing a loved one is a sacred way to testify that they
continue to live in our midst.
Our tradition also embraces the concept that, with time, we move from mourning
to remembering. It is now possible to order plaques to be placed on the Memorial
Wall located at the entrance to the Glickman-Galinson Sanctuary.
Placing a loved
one's name on our Wall of Remembrance provides a permanent memorial within the
synagogue. Your loved one's name will be recited in perpetuity at the Yahrzeit date,
and will be printed annually in our Yom
Kippur Memorial Book.
To place a name on the Memorial Wall, contact Debbie Simmons at 858-535-1111 ext. 3113.
