AN HONOR AND A JOY TO BE ABLE TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF OUR BELOVED SYNAGOGUE
By Ann Mound, Chair
Endowment Planned Giving Committee
Dear Congregants,
It's January, and a new year is beginning. For many of us December was a very busy time, and our mailboxes were full of requests for funds
all good causes
all needing help.
Perhaps now this is a more quiet time with respect to activities and to the charitable information, which arrives in the mail. Maybe now is the time you choose to think about how you want to benefit special organizations. You may decide to talk with your attorney about updating your will, to make certain what you want is accomplished.
Maybe you will consider including a bequest for Congregation Beth Israel and other organizations, which mean a great deal to you.
What an honor and a joy to be able to secure the future of our beloved synagogue. Help endow a program, a room, a special part of CBI, which has been important to you and your family. And know that your gift is part of what makes it possible for future generations to have the same opportunities you and I have had. Our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren will be able to participate by performing mitzvot like the Hunger Project and continue our magnificent Jewish tradition of helping others.
What a thrill it is to come to CBI and see so many young children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens. There is music, there are activities, there is learning, there is prayer, there are life cycle events, there is socializing. It is a wonderful mix of Jewish people in a unique place where we can gather, enjoy, discuss, think, dance, sing, listen, participate.
Let it all continue and thrive. Your endowment gift can make it so.
Shalom,
Ann Mound, Chair, Endowment Committee
