DOR L' DOR SOCIETY - INSURING OUR CONTINUED GROWTH
By Ann Mound, Chair
Endowment Planned Giving Committee
For well over 100 years, Congregation Beth Israel has been a sacred place for our membership. We have been married here; we have brought our children here; we have shared joys and sorrows; we have had the opportunity to worship together, to sing together, to make friends, and to celebrate our Judaism. It is deeply important to all of us to secure the future of our beloved synagogue and to help preserve the precious heritage of the Jews for future generations.
The creation of a new synagogue program, the Dor l' Dor Society (Generation to Generation), was recently authorized by our Board of Directors. The Society is intended to recognize and thank those members and friends who have made a commitment to the Endowment Fund through their will, their estate plan, or by making a gift of cash or stocks. The Board also has established the Endowment Planned Giving Committee to encourage and confidentially assist congregation members in this important process.
Soon you will be receiving a letter and brochure explaining the Dor l' Dor Society and how you can help. Those who become members of the Dor l' Dor Society will receive recognition for remembering the importance of the future of our Synagogue. But most of all, members of the Dor l' Dor Society will serve as powerful examples for their children, their heirs, and this community. Members will have the personal satisfaction of having reaffirmed their Jewish values by playing a leadership role in the Dor l' Dor Society.
Congregation Beth Israel is entering a unique phase. Our new members, our longtime members, individuals of all ages, and the many others we serve all depend upon CBI our beautiful synagogue, the outstanding campus, the exceptional quality, variety, and depth of our programs we want all of this to continue and grow.
