AN OPPORTUNITY TO BOTH GIVE AND RECEIVE

By Jerome Levy, M.D.

Jerome Levy
Nowadays, whenever we contemplate the value of our investment portfolio, or, diversely, the future of the Jewish people, more than likely we experience a certain amount of angst. Both have been in jeopardy for some time. Figuratively, our personal worth can be measured by how much we have invested in both entities, i.e., material wealth and the perpetuation of the Jewish faith.

We should not remain oblivious of the vicissitudinous nature of events and remain frozen in discomfort because of the nature of current trends. Positive action is possible and should be pursued. One such course would be to act on the opportunities outlined in this synagogue bulletin over the past few months.

You have been presented with several versions of a win-win strategy that would benefit you, your family, the synagogue and future generations of Jews. All you have to do is work with Congregation Beth Israel's Executive Director, Stuart Simmons, and your financial professional to establish a financial instrument, such as a charitable remainder trust, that will, over the years, benefit both you and generations to come.

You will be doing a genuine mitzvah and you can benefit from an uninterrupted, substantial income stream, plus tax benefits, at the same time.

Don't wait. Act now to support the Beth Israel Endowment Fund.

Shalom,
Jerome Levy, M.D
