Mitzvah Projects for Grade-Level Shabbat Dinners

Beth Israel Religious School has been blessed with an active corps of room parents over the years. We are very interested in your participation. If you have an interest please contact Rhona Gordon in the Religious School office.

Room Parents are the primary liaisons between teachers and parents. This is a great way to meet other parents and demostrate to your child how important their religious school is. Statement of Purpose:
Room Parents support classroom teachers in presenting festival events and implementing the curriculum.
  • Room Parents provide opportunities for parents to participate in Religious School events.
  • Room Parents support communication and understanding between teachers and parents. They contact parents to convey information about events, to solicit parent participation and material contributions to enhance classroom learning.
  • Room Parents organize grade-level dinners and other after-school events that bring parents, teachers and families together to enhance the sense of community at the Religious School.
– Adopted on Sept. 20, 2003
