Mara Hochberg-Miller

21Mara Hochberg-Miller is a senior at University of California, San Diego majoring in Political Science/International Relations and minoring in History. Growing up at Temple Beth Torah in Ventura, Mara was an assistant and then teacher in the second grade Torah School class. She has also been a counselor at the temple's summer day camp, as well as a summer camp counselor at URJ Camp Newman. Mara was active in NFTY while in high school and traveled to Israel for the first time on L'dor V'dor. She returned to Israel on the March of the Living and then again this past school year to study at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Mara enjoys traveling the world and spending time at the beach. She will be teaching second grade this year and is excited to meet you!

Most Saturdays Congregation Beth Israel holds Shabbat services in the mornings at 10:00 a.m. and afternoons at 4:00 p.m. in our beautiful Glickman-Galinson sanctuary. These services celebrate the Bar/Bat Mitzvahs of our members and are open to the entire community. Please join us and celebrate Shabbat!
