Debbie Castle
Debbie Castle joined CBI's preschool in 2000. She has taught in Jewish preschools in San Diego for a total of 16 years and was a preschool director for two years. Born in Virginia and raised in Montreal, Canada, Debbie attended the University of Ottawa, then became a dental hygienist for five years. Debbie and her husband Brian have three children and enjoy life in Carmel Valley. |

Bree Cerone
Bree Cerone is a University of Arizona graduate with a degree in Elementary Education. She has earned elementary teaching credentials in both Arizona and California and plans to get her Masters Degree in education in the future. For the past four summers, she has been a member of the summer staff here at the preschool and is excited for her first year co-teaching within the school. Bree also spends time substitute teaching in local elementary schools and leading the J2 Youth Group here at CBI. A native San Diegan, she enjoys reading, art, photography and anything that allows her to be creative. |

Deborah Chait
Deborah has worked at the preschool for four years. She was born and raised in Mexico City where she worked as Montessori preschool teacher. Moving to Israel she lived in a kibbutz and then in Tel Aviv where she helped open the first Montessori preschool in Israel. She has lived in San Diego for 12 years. She lives with her husband Cyrus and her children Andres and Dario. |

Brenda Favish
Brenda was born and raised in South Africa, earning her teaching degree from the Johannesburg College of Education. She has been in early childhood education for 23 years. She keeps current with innovative education ideas and every year aims to become more "Reggio" inspired. |

Leah Finkelstein
Leah was born and raised in San Diego. She grew up going to Beth Israel. This is Leah's fourth year working in the preschool. Leah has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from National University and is now working on her credential, also at National University. Leah would like to be a kindergarten teacher. |

Eva Holland
Eva was born and raised in San Diego. She grew up in a family blessed with many early childhood educators. Eva has worked at the Bill & Sid Rubin Preschool for three years and is currently studying child development and psychology. She enjoys being outdoors hiking and camping with her friends and family. She also has a great love and appreciation for music and art. |

Dana Jacobs
Dana is a fourth generation CBI member. She has taught Hebrew at CBI for ten years; six in the preschool.
She lived in Israel for three years where she worked on a kibbutz and studied Hebrew. She enjoys traveling, going to sporting events and concerts, sharing time with friends and family and collecting handbags. She loves working with the "twos" and watching them grow. |

Sheree Meyerowitz
Sheree was born and raised in South Africa, earning her teaching degree from the Johannesburg College of Education. She is trained in classical ballet through the London Royal Academy of Dance and runs her own Dance Academy for children. In 1996 Sheree, her husband and three children immigrated to San Diego. She has taught preschool in San Diego for nine years. |

Rimma Reytblat
Originally from the Ukraine, Rimma has many years of experience working with children. She loves teaching, especially setting up ooey-gooey activities in the classroom. She enjoys spending time with the children and hearing what they have to say. Rimma's education background includes an associate's degree in early childhood education. In her spare time Rimma enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping and going to the gym. |

Irina Shamilova
Irina was born in Baku, Azerbaijan (USSR). There she became a nurse and physical therapist working with children. In 1992 she moved to the U.S. with her husband and daughter, Kristina. Learning English from scratch, she worked as a nanny, organizer of birthday parties and babysitter. Her family moved to San Diego in 1999 and she began teaching at CBI in 2005. |

Lynn Thedell
A life-long resident of San Diego, Lynn loves working with children. She especially enjoys the jokes and funny things they say. Lynn's favorite thing to do with children is to read with them. Her education background includes a bachelor's degree in psychology, continuing classes towards a master's degree in education and several early childhood education classes. In her spare time Lynn enjoys shopping for shoes and relaxing with friends. |
