About the Preschool
ece-two-boys
The Bill and Sid Rubin Preschool is for children 18 months to five years of age and is open to the community. It offers the very best in early childhood education providing a program rich in Jewish culture, tradition and values. The program accommodates approximately 100 students, with two-, three- and five-day programs as well as child care before and after classes. For more information, contact the Preschool Office at 858-535-1144 ext. 3120.

Congregation Beth Israel first demonstrated its commitment to early childhood education when it established the Sid Rubin Preschool in 1977. We provide an environment that helps children successfully separate from home and transfer trust from family to school. This is accomplished with nurturing love and attention to the developmental needs of very young children in a program rich in Jewish culture, tradition and values.

Keep Our Students Healthy!
Please review our Preschool's Illness Policy. Something to ask yourself in making your decision to keep your child home from school is, "If my child were well and at school, and a child in the class had the same symptoms, would I want him/her there?"

BITTS (Beth Israel Toddler Transitions) is Back!

Our Toddler Transition class provides first experiences in group play for children 18-30 months. Parents participate in activities with their child and gradually, over a period of several months, separate from the child. BITTS meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year is $2500 ($2300 for CBI members). For more information, please view our BITTS flyer (PDF, 373K) or contact the Preschool Office at 858-535-1144 ext. 3120.
