About the Preschool
upsidedownkidsThe Bill and Sid Rubin Preschool is for children 18 months to five years of age and is open to the community. Synagogue membership is not required. It offers the very best in early childhood education providing a program rich in Jewish culture, tradition and values. The program accommodates approximately 100 students, with two-, three- and five-day programs as well as child care before and after classes. For more information, contact the Preschool Office at 858-535-1144 ext. 3120.

Congregation Beth Israel first demonstrated its commitment to early childhood education when it established the Sid Rubin Preschool in 1977. We are now recognized nationally as a leader in early Jewish education. We provide an environment that helps children successfully separate from home and transfer trust from family to school. This is accomplished with nurturing love and attention to the developmental needs of very young children in a program rich in Jewish culture, tradition and values.
