Adult Participation Programs for Babies & Toddlers

We are pleased to offer weekday programs for children 6-24 months and their parents! For more information, please call the Preschool Office at 858.535.1144, ext. 3120.

Beth Israel Toddler Transitions (BITTS)

Our Toddler Transition class provides first experiences in group play for children 18-30 months. Parents first participate in activities with their child and gradually, over a period of several months, separate from the child. BITTS meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year is $2500 ($2300 for CBI members). This class, taught by Diana Davidson, is a community of families sharing songs, rhythm games, and instrument play together in a fun, safe, Jewish environment. You will learn music through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of all children. An important part of this class is parent education that will help parents/caregivers understand and enhance their child's music development.

Join us every Friday evening to welcome Shabbat with song, prayers and blessings. These services often feature notable speakers and the beautiful music of our Youth and Teen Choir, Adult Choir and Chai Band.

Shabbat Services

Most Saturdays Congregation Beth Israel holds Shabbat services in the mornings at 10:00 a.m. and afternoons at 4:00 p.m. in our beautiful Glickman-Galinson sanctuary. These services celebrate the Bar/Bat Mitzvahs of our members and are open to the entire community. Please join us and celebrate Shabbat!
