Israel is a tiny state; Yet since its creation, it has captured the world’s attention. This eight session course will look at Israel’s history and future. Why is so much of the international community focused on a small country like Israel? Why are Israelis divided on so many issues? Why does Israel make the decisions it does? What lies in its future? Using the award winning book by Daniel Gordis, Rabbi Marty Lawson will explore and discuss these topics and more.

$80; $70 for Beth Israel Members (Everyone registering for this class needs to purchase the book, “Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn” by Daniel Gordis and to have read chapters 1 and 2 before the first class.)
