There Are Many Ways To Get Involved at CBI
There are many opportunities to become involved at Congregation Beth Israel. You will quickly discover them if you check this Web site regularly, sign up for our weekly E-newsletter and read our monthly publication, Tidings. A lot depends on you; your place at Beth Israel awaits you.
We have members who participate regularly in worship services and not too much else. We also have members who are eager to jump in and get involved in as many programs and activities as possible. And, we have members who fall across the spectrum in between.
Consider parent involvement if you are a family enrolling children in one of our schools. Become active in our Women of Beth Israel or our Men's Club. First year membership in these auxiliaries is always complimentary and they bring an outstanding array of speakers to
inform and entertain our congregation.
Consider joining a Chavurah. Join a committee in support of Israel or one that provides members opportunities to do social action projects that benefit the wider community. We have a group for young adults and a group for active, retired seniors. Your middle school and high school children are invited to join our youth groups.
Join our Shabbat morning Torah study group, munch a bagel and then stay to worship with our Minyan. Sign up for a Hebrew class or one of many other Adult Education learning opportunities. If you like to sing or if you play an instrument, our Cantor wants to meet you right away.
Perhaps you have talents or skills that you could offer to a group or committee of the synagogue that would benefit from your expertise.
There is a lot to do at Beth Israel and we are confident you will discover a group or activity
in which you will find friends, fulfillment and a sense of extended family.
