The Century Club of Congregation Beth Israel is a program of enhanced annual support of the synagogue above the Standard Dues. As in most congregations, our philosophy has always been that no one will be turned away for inability to pay a full membership contribution or dues.
If everyone were able to contribute Standard Dues, we might not need the Century Club. But that is not the reality. We welcome enlisted military personnel, young people still in college or starting new careers, single parent households, families struggling with the economy, older folks with limited means, and we do so asking for relatively small financial contributions. We are able to welcome these individuals and families because of the contributions made by members of our Century Club.
To be in the Century Club is completely voluntary. It is performing the mitzvah of tzedakah. It means you contribute more than the required amount, and it means you are making membership possible for someone else who otherwise could not afford it. No Jew is turned away and all have the opportunity to participate with dignity. Century Club supporters demonstrate an investment in our future.
There are a few tangible benefits we offer to thank our Century Club and Life Member contributors and these are described below. However, what is wonderful about the Century Club and Life Membership is that most people are participating simply because they are blessed with the ability to do so.
Because the Century Club is a concept and not really a club, we always have room for more of our members to join. If you already contribute at one of our Century Club levels, thank you. If not, please consider joining this year.

Life Membership
Life Membership has been offered for many years at Congregation Beth Israel. Life members make a generous one-time contribution that is invested in our Endowment Fund. Interest income replaces annual dues contributions by our Life Members, who have no further dues obligations.
Life Members contribute $100,000, payable over 1 to 5 years. Their names are published every month in our Tidings newsletter and additionally they are eligible for all of the benefits offered to our Century Club Pillar members.

Century Club Pillar: $10,000 and up annually
Benefits:
- 25 Tribute or Memorial Cards per year
- Recognition at High Holy Days Services
- Complimentary Membership in Men's Club and/or Women of Beth Israel
- No additional fees for Religious School and/or Bar or Bat Mitzvah
Training
- 50% Discount on Social Hall Rental Fee
- Up to 5 Complimentary Guest High Holy Day Tickets
- Invitation to a special Congregant Event
Century Club Benefactor: $6,500 and up annually
Benefits:
- 20 Tribute or Memorial Cards per year
- Recognition at High Holy Days Services
- Complimentary Membership in Men's Club and/or Women of Beth Israel
- 25% Discount on Social Hall Rental Fee
- Up to 4 Complimentary Guest High Holy Day Tickets
- Invitation to a special Congregant Event
Century Club Sponsor: $4,800 and up annually
Benefits:
- 18 Tribute or Memorial Cards per year
- Recognition at High Holy Days Services
- Complimentary Membership in Men's Club and/or Women of Beth Israel
- 20% Discount on Social Hall Rental Fee
- Up to 3 Complimentary Guest High Holy Day Tickets
- Invitation to a special Congregant Event
Century Club Patron: $3,500 and up annually
Benefits:
- 12 Tribute or Memorial Cards per year at no additional charge
- Recognition at High Holy Days Services
- Up to 2 Complimentary Guest High Holy Day Tickets
- 10% Discount on Social Hall Rental Fee
- Invitation to a special Congregant Event
Century Club Mitzvah Member: $2,900 and up annually
Benefits:
- 10 Tribute or Memorial Cards per year
- Recognition at High Holy Days Services
- 1 Complimentary Guest High Holy Day Ticket
- Invitation to a special Congregant Event
Individual (single) members may participate at any of these Century Club levels by contributing
half of the stated amount for the Century Club level.
When you wish to donate to a temple
fund using your complimentary Tribute or Memorial Cards, be sure to specify
that you are in the Century Club.
