Religious School Dropoff & Pickup
Parking
Visitor and member parking is available in Beth Israel's
parking lot. The 50-space lot includes six spaces for cars with handicap
placards.
When Beth Israel's lot is full, and at night and on weekends,
cars may park in the Gateway Parking Garage at
no charge. Drivers may enter and exit the Gateway Garage from Towne Centre Drive.
Drivers also may enter from – but never exit back into – the back of
Beth Israel's parking lot. Caution: Extreme tire damage will occur to vehicles
that attempt to re-enter the Beth Israel parking lot.
Drivers who enter the Gateway Parking Garage from Beth Israel's parking lot are
encouraged to drive up the ramp to park on the garage's top, open-air level.
Vehicular exit to the street is only possible from the top, open-air level of
the Gateway Parking Garage.
From the top, open-air level of the Gateway Garage, you may walk down a short,
well-lit ramp onto Beth Israel's campus, arriving at our North Entry Gate near
the Social Hall and Sanctuary. The North Entry Gate is unlocked on weekends,
on Thursday afternoons for Religious School pickup, and when the Beth Israel
parking lot is expected to be full. During weekday business hours, when the gate
is locked, please use the intercom to request entry.
There is no street parking available near Congregation Beth Israel.

Religious School Dropoff & Pickup
To ensure the safety of our children, please follow all standard parking regulations (ie. No parking in red zone, no double parking, etc.) Please note that the south side of Golden Haven Road is now a bike lane and no parking is permitted. Please tell your children to be careful and not run between the cars.
Sundays, Grades K – 2:
All students need to be picked up in their classrooms. Parents may park in either the lower parking lot or the upper parking structure. Please inform us in writing if an older sibling will be picking up your K - 2 student.
Sundays & Thursdays, Grades 3-6:
Option 1:
Pick up at the grand staircase (no child may enter the parking lot without parent or teacher escort).
Enter our lower lot and park your car or get in the pick-up line.
Option 2:
Enter the La Jolla Gateway office building parking structure from our lot, drive up to the top level and park. (On Sundays you may enter the parking structure from either 9171 Towne Centre Drive, or from our lot.)
Meet your child(ren) at the North Entry gate to our property to escort them back to your car. Follow arrows to visitor exit located between the two office buildings.
We encourage, regardless of where you live, those families driving SUVs should pick up in the office building parking structure to avoid traffic backup.
Tuesdays, Grades 7 - 12:
All drop-off and pickup is from our lower parking lot by the grand staircase. Please park in our lot to meet your child or get in the pick-up line.
