Music, it has been said is "a key to the soul." Shabbat is a moment in time to unlock the depths of our souls as tradition and modernity meet through a tapestry of song, prayer and introspection. Join Rabbi/Cantor Bernstein for an intimate Soul Food Shabbat experience in the Foster Family Chapel on the second Fridays of most months at 8:30 p.m. The service is infused by the beauty and artistry of Beth Israel musicians Heidi Gantwerk, Andy Mayer and Buddy Voit. Original music by composer Andy Mayer will also be featured. All are invited. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and there is no need to RSVP. A special Oneg will follow.
