New Library Materials Made Possible by Men's Club
Thanks to a generous donation from the Men's Club, the Sophie and Arthur Brody
Library now has some excellent new materials covering various aspects of the
Holocaust. These new items will help the Religious School and members
of the congregation in their search for more information.
We were able to purchase the videos "The Journey of the Butterfly," "The Rails to Auschwitz and Back," and "Let Memory Speak." Our new dvds are "Another Story," "Warsaw Ghetto Uprising," "The Double Crossing: the Voyage of the St. Louis," "The Devil's Arithmetic," "My Knees were Jumping: Remembering the Kindertransports," and "The Short LIfe of Anne Frank." The new books purchased are "Making Snese of the Holocaust: Lessons from Classroom Practice," "Hana's Suitcase" which includes a cd, "Forging Freedom," and "The Yellow Star: the Persecution of the Jews in Europe, 1933--1945."
These items will be well appreciated and we wish to thank the members of the Men's Club for their continued support of the library.

Simcha Book Club
The library sponsors the Simcha Book Club which invites people to donate money
to buy new books for the library. For a contribution of $30 for an adult
book or $20 for a children's book the librarian selects and purchases a new
book. She places a book plate in the new book, which names the donor and
states whether the donation is in honor or in memory of a special person.
The Simcha Book Club is a wonderful way to help build the library collection.
For additional information about the Library, please contact Vicki Raun, CBI Receptionist at 858-535-1111, ext. 0. go to top
