Congregation Beth Israel is San Diego's oldest and largest Jewish congregation, with roots dating back to 1861 when San Diego was a frontier settlement. Today the synagogue is the spiritual home of 1,400 families from all over San Diego County. Our beautiful, award-winning campus, in the Golden Triangle area, was dedicated in 2001.
Congregation
Beth Israel today occupies five buildings on a three acre campus in University
City. Rabbi Michael Berk, Cantor Arlene Bernstein and Rabbi Glenn Ettman
lead Shabbat services every Friday night.
